Halloween 2020 Reimagined: Brooks Farms Spooky Nights

BREAKING NEWS:  Unfortunately, looks like Halloween is CANCELLED this year! In the midst of the second wave of the Covid-19 onslaught in our country, the government has decided to unofficially cancel the usual “trick or treating” in our respective neighbourhoods within Toronto city limits.  Understandably so, all parents’ backs are pushed against the wall and are all left scrambling, trying to figure out how to reinvent Halloween this year to avoid any further disappointments and somehow salvage those frowning faces of the kids.

Luckily, we heard that Brooks Farms decided to transform into a Spooky Farm for Halloween and so we decided to check it out!

With our trusty flashlights and half our eyes closed, we swallowed whatever “brave pill” we could find and took the kids through that SUPER CREEPY Corn Maze!  Although this may sound super scary, NOT TO FEAR (too much), they are gearing it towards 12 yrs and under. Still, it sure felt creepy!!!

Of course, the fun didn’t stop there! Once you finish the maze, you can join their creepy hayride to their haunted sugar bush and figure your way out of there as well!

Be sure to buy your tickets in advance via their website. We paid $10 per person and was surely worth every penny for some GOOD reimagined Halloween fun! Brooks Farm is located in Mount Albert, Ontario, just 40 minutes drive north from Toronto’s city centre.

Don’t forget your flashlights and perhaps some glow sticks! 😉

Happy Halloween everyone!!  🎃👻💀

QUICK TIP: If you are located closer to the Ottawa area, you might want to check out the PUMPKINFERNO exhibit, a Pumpkin Halloween light show located at Upper Canada Village — about 1 hour drive just south of downtown Ottawa.

We did a brief blog post about it HERE (scroll all the way to the bottom). Be sure to check out that super fun display during Halloween as well, as it surely doesn’t disappoint!
